I don't think I could follow any program where I couldn't have wine. Another reason I love Weight Watchers.

Unless it has changed it is a 9 day program. The only days you need to be strict is the first and last 2 days, You can have a glass or two of wine on the days you are not cleansing.

I will be PERFECT on days 1-2 and 8-9, therefore no wine. I suppose I should actually be perfect throughout so it actually works as well as possible. This is why I need it at all, I have little discipline!!!

I have done Weight Watchers in the past and really liked it as well. My problem is I have gained about 15 pounds since last summer which is totally ridiculous. I am blaming it on winter starting in November and just now ending. I really want to a jump start so I can get back on the eating right track. I thought this would be a great jump start... and I think I am right.... oh my gosh after these two cleansing days ANY food at all will be fabulous!! It will not have to be chocolate, or french fries..... an apple sounds fabulous.

Thanks Frank for posting about this..... I need all of the support I can get!

Well, if you think about it, many creatures spend most of their time trying to get enough to eat. Humans in technological societies probably spend much less time on food than any other type of primate.

I do find that when I'm dieting, though, food takes up much more of my time than it usually does. I generally can't find any pre-made foods that fit my diet (low-carb vegetarian), so I have to cook everything from scratch. Plus, I track both carbs and calories, so I spend a lot of time looking up calorie/carb counts, writing them down, totaling them up, etc. The way I cook is, I pick a main ingredient and then rummage around the kitchen to see what's on hand that could be added to make a good dish. I don't ever use recipes (except for baking), and I hardly ever make anything the same way twice, at least not within the space of a few months. So, I have to calculate the nutritional content of each dish more-or-less every time I make it. It's a real problem; I wish I could find a faster way.
