As Phill stated, received the direct deposit yesterday in our account, a week early! Don't know why we got it earlier but don't care!

We went out yesterday trying to spend it, still have some left tho!

Maybe will have enough for another trip down to Key West!

I just want to point out that some grocery stores (and maybe other stores) are offering a bonus if you use your stimulus check to shop with them.

For example, here's the ShopRite program, which gives a 10 percent bonus when you buy gift cards in $300 increments.

My daughter sent in her tax return one day late. She is owed a refund, so it really did not matter. However, someone has told me that she will not get the stimulus check because her return was late. Has anyone else heard this?

Not sure if this if this is all states or just Ca.

Well, that would be a bummer . You'd think that would be unfair...the State taking a chunk of our Fed stimulus check. How will that stimulate the economy?!

Hate bringing a old post back but I have a question.

Our daughter did get a notice back in May that she would get a check!
Per this list it shows she would get her check June 20 and now after waiting all this time no check as shown up!

Any thoughts or phone numbers to call IRS about these checks.

Since she has already gone to work I called the local number and was bounced around to other depts never talking to live person,"Don't you love never talking to live person".

I then bounced around the .Gov list and see that her date still listed as June 20th.

It was stated that it takes 3-5 working days so she should have had her check twenty days ago.

Just watching CNN and it showed news updates that the final checks are going out now so I guess we just wait and see!

Well after wasting our daughter's time waiting for her check trying to contact IRS she gets nothing!

She was sent a notice in early May that she would get a check and after all this time she won't!

I went to local Sacramento Ca news station on line and found a site to go to and since she was going to school and still on our tax form as living with us she gets nothing. Since she was 20 we didn't get anything for her either,at least that way we could have gave her the $300.

It makes no sense because she still had to do taxes and claim zero and pay.

Windfall ! !

Well, my accountant was slightly in error. Predicted I would get $77.00. Got another notice in the mail (does it not cost about $7.50 to produce and mail a letter, on the average?) giving my amount as $76.65. Suppose my accountant rounded off.
That will buy 1/2 tank of diesel for my F250 7.5 liter truck.
