The only problem with making your own pods is that, if they are not perfect, apparently the machine will explode and spray boiling hot coffee all over everything and everyone nearby.

I am on the fence about this...how expensive are the pods?
and each pod makes ONE cup of coffee, right?
I make an 8-cup pot and drink it myself in the morning but this might be nice to have to make a cup of decaf at night....

Yes, that appears to be a problem
I would be leary to do that myself, I love my starbucks though! I wonder if they make pods. Will have to look into that.

Pat for $15 you get enough pods to keeep it going for a while. If you do not like them you can buy other pods that fit this machine. If not then give it away or sell it at a garage sale. You only have $15 to lose. I thought this would be great for my son in his Dorm.
