On another note: I received my Perfect Pod Maker last week and have been testing some of my favorite coffees since then. The Pod maker comes with 40 filters (empty pods) and works by heat sealing the filter pod after it is filled. The machine works very well. The challenge is to add the right amount of coffee for your individual taste. In addition, since I grind my own coffee, getting the proper grind has also been a challenge. As it turns out, I needed to grind it a little finer then I would for a drip maker. It takes about 2 minutes to make a pod and soit didn't take long to make a bunch and store them in sealed containers. The filters cost 12 cents each (40 pack) or 11 cents each (160 pack). The advantage is that you can use any coffee you like and the final cost will depend on the coffee you use and the amount you put in each pod. The disadvantage is the cost of the Pod Maker. It is $39.95 plus shipping. But, if you average this cost over the number of pods you could make during the probable life span of the machine, it could end up being a very small amount. So far, I’m pretty happy with both the Senseo and the Pod Maker. My only wish would be that the Senseo had a larger water reservoir.

Larger Water Resevoir
Senseo does make a larger resevoir. I ordered it from Amazon. Can't remember how much it costs.
I'm tempted to order the pod maker, but hubby and I both like the Senseo coffee. Guess it depends on how expensive it gets. Too high, we'll likely try the pod maker. I like that you can make several pods at a time. We had the eco pod plastic thingy, but only got 2 in the package and you have to wash and dry it before you can reuse. Was too much of a hassle. Thanks for the info on the pod maker.Vicki

What I have found it from my reading is that the GRIND of the coffee u use in the home made pods or reusable filter is key - it has to be ground very fine

The Kohl's in Owasso OK has the Senseo 24-pod Variety Pack for 99 cents (marked down from $14). They had a pretty good size stack out. There was a sign with other pod stuff marked down but the variety pack was the biggest discount.
Contains 6 each of the Dark Roast, Decaffeinated, Vienna Hazelnut Waltz, and Paris French Vanilla.
UPC 672201907725
Not sure if this is at all or just some of their stores.
