Going to have to get out of MOS soon, or at least make the stop tight. Stock has gone up over 40 points in the past month. I gotta protect my profit on that.

I never seem to get out at the right time. At least DAL is up today.

I should have taken profits with everyone else. MOS dropped about 9 points. I am still up, but 9 points hurts. I had other stocks go up, so overall loss wasn't very painful, but still...it did hurt.

If I would not have been in a 1 hour meeting that lasted 6 hours, I would have kept some of that money.

Sold MOS and RIMM this morning. Took nice profits on both. Both dropped after I sold them.

I am primarily in cash, market is under 12,000. I am not comfortable with this week, I think it is 4 down days with only 1 up day, and that was a weak up.

Unless I see something change, I will probably be in cash for a while.

MOS has gone back up over 3 points.

I shouldn't complain. I made profit and will move on.

Guess I will spend part of the weekend researching stock for the next gainer.

I had a meeting with my old boss's stock brocker. He has made him a pile of money over the years. I really liked him . He does everything from Charles Schwab. I liked his ideas so much better than Wachovia Bank. I'd like to do it own my own but I don't trust myself. I will keep some to play with.

It's kid of eery to hear myself saying I have enuff to get a stockbroker. I'll let you know what he recommends. shaggy

Agreed. I am basically short the market and long select stocks. I can't see any reason to get excited about being agressively long in this market until one or more of the major averages busts thru it's 200 day moving average. The Nasdaq did (weakly) in mid May and early June (and looks to be the strongest of the major averages) but has since retreated. The S&P and the Dow both failed tests of the 200 SMA in mid-May.

Financials look weak, so I shorted the sector by going long SKF today. We shall see..............
Still holding SKF. Up 29% from my entry. Looks to be headed higher. May pull some off the table and let the rest ride.

Got lucky with some GSI. Went long at $10.30 on Thursday. Now at $13.40 -- up 30% in 2 days on huge volume. Momentum driven stocks always make me nervous, although I did buy this one for a longer term hold......

So are we in recession or having inflation? I have the answer-PANIC!!

Dow at lowest level in 2 years at just over 11,500. Remember way back when the dow was 14,100? Oh the good old days. You know...October.
