Any Promotional item experience?

I am looking for a few 'thank you' gifts for the speakers at my user group. I have found some clocks that would be nice. Most places want 100 piece minimum, or their per unit price is high.

Does anyone have any promo item experience? I would like to buy a small quantity, maybe 25 pc. and because this is coming out of my pocket, I want to keep the cost/unit pretty cheap, under $5.00.

Anyone have experience with good companies?

I have used this company before. Promotional Items, Promotional Products, and Imprinted Logo Products from GOpromos.com Items have varying minimums. They used to offer new customers a discount but I don't see it now. I ordered mugs from them and they were very nice.
