I didn't feel like reading all the posts, but if it hasn't been brought forth, there's a good chance your key is probably worn to the point that it just isn't engaging the tumblers in your switch anymore(if it sees alot of use). The first thing to try is simply spray a little WD40 in your switch, just a little will do. I'd suggest getting a fresh key made, if you have a spare that doesn't get used much use it to make the copy as your worn out key will simply make a worn out copy! Your dealer should be able to make a fresh key using your VIN number if you don't have a good spare.
