I have moved the posts that did not belong on the SFX thread to here so you can disscuss it better, This was the first post in question. I have copied and edit it to the frist page here as it somehow ended up on page 2.





Scammed By Sfx!!!

After Deposit Sfx Scam What A Horrible Company To Do Business With!

SFX has my presidential week but will not believe it is a full one brm since some clerk over at RHC said there isn't privacy for four. i can't get a phone number for sfx and this is driving me nuts. Why would i persist like this if it wasn't a fact. i stayed in the same suite in November so i know what i am talking about! i have a broken arm so this is doubly frustrating since typing with one hand is impossible! I AM SORRY FOR THE SPELLING AND GRAMMITICAL MISTAKES i got a note this morning from rhc confirming that a presidntial is a one or two bdrm and i know even that will do no good. i feel like i have been scammed by this exchange company since they have
1. been unable to return the week to me since someone aleady took it
2. not extended reasonable exchanges
3. my so called bonus week is rapidly running out of time
4. will not call me, or give me a person i can call, to straighten this mistake out inspite of over 10 emails pleading with them to do so
5. the won't call the resort and check with them
6. they absolutely HAVE NO RESOLUTION PROCESS
7.THEY FLAT OUT DISBELEIVE ME WHICH IS NOT ONLY DISCONERTING BUT HURTFUL TO MY REPUTATION AND PRIDE. I ONLY USED THEM AFTER YOUR PRAISE AND THEREFORE I AM APPALLED AT THEIR LAK OF CONCERN FOR ME AS A MEMBER. I KNOW YOU WORK FOR THEM MARK BUT REPEATED REQUESTS TO YOU FOR A PHONE CALL HAVE BEEN IGNORED.

This is amazing. SFX is even responsible for your broken arm.

So its SFX's fault that your resort told them, there is no privacy for 4?
and you say that SFX wont call your resort? It seems they already did.
I'm not even sure why it matters.. they took your deposit and gave you a bonus week.. you seem unreasonable to me.

No exchange companies will return your week to you after you deposit it, if its been assigned to another member.

You knew the bonus week was good for a year, when you signed up.. its not SFX's fault that you are probably requesting a specific week in a prime location, during prime time.

When I get prime So Cal coastal units in RCI.. If I don't search 20-24 months out.. I never get anything.. when did you start your search?

I know you have posted in the past that you are frustrated that you can't search SFX for availibility online.. Didn't you know this before you deposited your week?

Had you thought of posting on here and just saying "Mark, I'm having problems with SFX, I emailed you.. did you get the email"?

How can you be saying that SFX doesn't believe you. If you say you have never talked to anyone from SFX and you've never gotten an email back.

SFX NEVER CONTACTED THE RESORT, 2 HYDE PARK SQUARE IN LONDON, THEY CONTACTED RHC AND THE ANSWER WAS PRIVACY FOR TWO AND NO PRIVACY FOR THE OTHER TWO, IN A STUDIO. WHAT STUDIO HAS PRIVACY FOR ANYONE? RHC IS NOTORIOUSLY UNREALIABLE, WHICH IS WHAT I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO SFX MANY TIMES OVER. PRESIDENTIAL = ONE OR TWO BDRM BY DEFINITION WITH RHC! LOOK AT THEIR WEBSITE!

So now its my fault for recommending SFX,
SFx's fault for calling RHC , and not who you want them to call
RHC's fault for not knowing there own timeshares..

Do you realize that it doesn't matter if its a studio or a 1bd that you are depositing. Why do you care so much?
you got a bonus week that is good for a 1bd.. you got a original deposit week to use for exchange.

You get a little too emotional about this.. are you married.. maybe your husband should handle the travel arrangements.

Since you are posting all over the world.. I will post on Tug also

IMO From what I read, I have to agree that your problem lies with RHC and not SFX but if you feel it is SFX I am sure Mark will get to the bottom of it. Can you picture RCI changing a room from a studio to a 2 bedroom just because a member says it is. Does not sound right does it.



Please lets not add any fuel to this, If you want to arrgue please use PM OK for member to member debates. No reason to flame this thread for no reason.

I agree with the good people here and Over Yonder. These are folks I have known for years and people I would vouch for.

Personally I hate to see any company, or any person, get defamed without just cause.

I have personally had run-ins with an exchange company or two, as I know some of those trying to help you have also. I considered our problems much more serious than the one you are expressing, but we got through it, and developed some nice friendships because of it.

I hate to stick my nose into the technicalities of your problem, but we own a 4/2, three of them in fact, and our resort calls them studios. That doesn't bother us in the least. Does your 1-bedroom unit have two bathrooms?

Now if I can only get my resort to keep the books properly!

I'm confused by these notes and can't tell what the problem is, but I'm impressed by one thing...

I've tried to type with one arm before and, even with the caps lock on, this note must have taken over 30 minutes.

I Dave's defense, icydog (i.e. Marylyn) launched a personal attack against Dave on TUG blaming him for recommending SFX and suggesting he might have another motive like maybe he works for SFX. Up to that point, I thought Dave's post were reasonable and objective. Perhaps they were a little more blunt than Marylyn wanted to hear, but that doesn't make it OK to lash out at Dave. The whole issue as far as I can tell is a problem with RHC, and Marylyn wants to blame SFX and Dave even after admitting that RHC is incompetent. JMHO

I have reluctantly deleted all my posts and comments.. apparently its only ok for Marylyn to attack others and make accusations.
Of course she does have 6 posts on this site and is a valued member and contributer to TS4M's.
