A new map on the website... Where EVERYBODY IS FROM as per IP address

This is a brand new hack that was just shared yesterday... what it does is it maps our members based on the last place that they were when the logged in OR it displays where their IP maps to AT THIS MOMENT if they are logged in...

The system updates every 15 minutes!

Check it out and I am not sure if this really replaces the other member map as this does not display where a member actually lives... it shows where they are logging in from... VERY COOL!

This technology is rather alarming! Obviously our IP addresses will resolve to a local city or two where your ISP is BUT it is working off an IP address! A person that logs onto the web ALWAYS shows your IP address to the site you connect to... If I had the time, I could update the USER PROFILE for each member and have it show a map of the last place that a person connected from OR all the places they connected from...

Such technology is rather alarming but I am sure the NSA uses this all the time to track where some people are at all the time. I am also sure that they have more detailed infomation about where an IP maps to...

Well, I hear the helicopters outside and they are sure to get the dog if I don't let him in soon... It has been nice knowing you all

The person that made this has just redid the map... I updated it on our site and the new map looks great.

I finally got to make some changes to better integrate it...

The Map that shows "Who's Online" has been moved to the Who's Online Page:

The Map that shows all members of TS4Ms is now included on the Member List page:

I also resized the image so that it is always large. The small image seemed hard to read and I hope that members can now scroll if they need to see more of the world... or to see if Lang is sleaping...

I am debating if we should get rid of the old map:

It seems like only a token few of us used it and now the new maps do a better job of showing just WHO we are at TS4MS.com...

I am really tempted to just terminate the one and remove both links from the Site Navbar on the right...

Oh well, one step closer to a developed website...

It is "Frank" slurping in all the knowledge here....

Just Kidding of course!

Yahoo SLURP is the name of the computer that connects to our site (and other websites) that indexes our website for inclusion into Yahoo. We also get hit by bots like Google Bog, MSN Bot, Gigabot, and tons of others... Each one is looking at our posts and saving the data for searches.

Also, I made one more update to the code so that now "all" members inclusing those thathave not posted yet show up on the "member" map. It really gives a real scope to how many people have been here and decided to join....

I actually have the abuility to make other maps too such as a STAFF MAP but the code isn't realy quick or easy so I am not going to try that quite yet... but expect one soon as I think it would be great to show that our site staff isn't all in one little area...

By the way, don't cell phones let the companies know where you are at all times, even when they are off? Haven't they tracked criminals like that? Scott Peterson comes to mind.

They may find some Internet Cooks or criminals that way too, I hope.
