By the way, don't cell phones let the companies know where you are at all times, even when they are off? Haven't they tracked criminals like that? Scott Peterson comes to mind.

They may find some Internet Cooks or criminals that way too, I hope.
Are you looking at the correct map?

Yes, it is the same one. A few minutes ago, there were many more squares. Now, I seem to be the only one.

Don't you think that they can track the Internet criminals this way? I hope so.

By the way, that's a great map!

I am sure that they could target all kinds of people through many of the technologies we use anymore... The code we have and use to map a location via the IP address is an approximate location. The NSA can likely map an IP address much more accurately...

The map I am so impressed to see is this one...

When I started this I never dreamed that I would see that!

We just bought a ski jacket that turns out to come equipped with a GPS locator. On the one hand, all this tracking is kinda cool, but it gives me a bit of the "big brother" creeps...

Are you in China? I ask as we get a lot of hits on the website from IP addresses that come from China...

              Regardless, welcome to the website!

So this works just by the members IP, they do not have to register there location.

It's amazing how far away Hawaii is. The two dots must be from there? It's in the middle of nowhere.

Hi Quarterbore, I'm from Malaysia. I guess there are few members from the Asian region as timesharing in this part of the world isn't very popular. Hotel rates here are generally quite reasonable and most tourists still prefer group packaged tours (the kind that covers like 5 European countries in 5 days ??) rather than independent travel.

Correct, this member map is based on the LAST location a person logs in... so if WALDO goes to Africa and logs in there will be a member box in Africa... when he return home in Antartica (assuming there is an IP address somewhere in Antartica the red box will go away in Africa and now show up in Antartica...

The same for the WHO IS ONLINE... If I was to go on vacation in Australia and log in from there my box would not show up in Pennsylvania anymore plus my WHO IS ONLINE box would be down under...

So this really does give a representation of just where our members are at...

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Just because I am paranoid does not mean that someone isn't tracking me whenever I log on.
