Who is going to an Irish Pub tomorrow? I will be here.

And what beer will you be drinking?
I will be drinking Smithwick, for sure!!
As they say, "It is a lovely beer. Coppery-colored and with a soft, caramelly taste, this is a more substantial Irish red than, oh, say, Killian’s made by Coors. Smithwick’s has real character."
Smithwick’s has been brewed in Kilkenny since 1710, making it older than Guinness, which now owns it. The brewery was founded by John Smithwick in St. Francis Abbey, which was established by Franciscan monks some time around 1230.
But be sure to ask for it correctly. The “h” and “w” are silent, so it should be pronounced “Smittick’s.”
