The first outer band is about 30 miles away, and it is going to run right over us . . . but I seem to be the only one paying attention.

We just started getting some bands of heavy rain in the Dallas area courtesy of Gustav. We need it.

So far just rain. I was sorta expecting wind and thunderstorms. There have been a couple of tornado warnings, one from a band about ten miles after it went by.

But, we're just getting started. If it does not slide east, we'll get two of three days of it.

We got 7 inches of rain and the lake has come up 2 feet.

Amazing how far the effects of Gustav can reach. We are expecting Gustav rain in Minnesota this weekend.

Well tropical storm Gustav has passed over us...Little Rock had 48 hours of wind, rain, and parts of the state had tornado warnings.. I am glad it has headed north of us...
