I hope the Fed leaves interest rates alone to support the dollar (and keep pressure on oil prices). Cheap money is largely why we're in this mess.
Trying to tax a nation into prosperity is like standing in a bucket and trying to lift yourself by the handles.

It's only been six minutes. Nobody else can believe it either. Assume crash positions.

"WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The Federal Open Market Committee held its benchmark Fed funds rate at 2.0% on Tuesday. Wall Street was divided about what the Fed would do after a stunning shakeup over the weekend with Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy and Merrill Lynch moved to sell itself to Bank of America. Some said a rate cut was absolutely necessary, while others argued just as strongly that the Fed should hold steady. The vote was unanimous. The committee suggested the threat of inflation has eased somewhat. It said an "earlier" rise in oil and commodity prices had pushed up inflation."

Gee...I wonder if Cramer may be upset tonight? Think anything will be thrown during the show?

Cramer was just on CNBC with my dreamgirl Erin.

He was happy AIG would get help, and that 'it isn't America's problem, it is a world problem'. If AIG goes down, there will be more problems.
