From the category of 'why is he telling us this', as I often do (I have no one to talk to ):

My mother used to work at a State Hospital and would be involved with care or treatment of the patient during that part of the procedure.

And from the 'why is he telling us more of this' department, I was in the play 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' for community theater. I was the 'electro shock therapy technician'. That was back in 1976 and I still remember my lines: "Conductant" and "Hold Him". I wasn't the star of the show.
