  • Woohoo!! The big snowstorm has begun!

Nothing better than big snow before Christmas! Christmas music is on, just about ready for a Tom & Jerry. All stocked up on "provisions", because my sonny boy is positive that there will be no school tomorrow! Forecast of 8"+; now we'll see how accurate the weather guys are.

My kids are soooo disappointed this morning, because they still have to go to school. I remember those days of praying for a snow day at bedtime.

Here in NW OH, they had been watching this storm for at least a week. The weather people were a little down yesterday morning when it headed the wrong way, so we are just getting a lot of rain today(1"-2" possible).

I find it funny that the teachers at the Jr. High talk more about snow days than the kids! Most of my eldest's info on weather comes from teachers, not friends or the tv.

I have opposite thoughts about snow. I'm happy this morning that rain and 46 degrees has pretty much melted the snow off the grass in Central IL. Hopefully the ice on the drive is gone when I get home from work.

Isn't it suppose to freeze up and possibly snow tonight in Central Illinois?

You all actually wish for snow? I think I will go read Steve's Buffalo story again.

                Snow hasn't stopped yet!

We have over 12" for the season so far; 10" above normal. I was going to take a picture, but the camera battery is dead. My son took my Jeep, and I am not taking his Camry out until the road gets plowed again. Time to make more Christmas cookies!

Funny how, even at 17, my son got up early(snow day) and was out with the neighbor boys playing tackle basketball?(must be a guy thing)

I absolutely LOVE the snow. I love watching it on TV that is. I haven't seen it snow in almost 10 years.

                    I should be so lucky.

If I had started this thread, it would have been titled Boohoo, not woohoo.

Yeah, but at least I have a clear driveway tonight. That's why we're going to Grand Mayan Riviera for the entire month of January.

I can't wait to head down to Florida the last week of January! I hate the snow, and the miserable driving conditions. It never seems to get quite bad enough to close the schools, just bad enough to make driving to work and back very treacherous. Give me sun!!
