Lawren which one of these two was it? I might be able to do 3-4 days but I am not sure yet, I do not mind doing 3 days here and then a night in a Castle.

This is not getting easier,

I still have The Cranwell that I have not ruled out. So there are 6 places right now. It will depend on how much time off she can get. young Island looks like a good deal if you stay a week.

They all look wonderful. Whatever you decide, you will have a very memorable anniversary.....It's so nice that you care enough to want to make your special anniversary everything that it should be. I'm sure that your wife will be thrilled with whatever one you decide on. And, even more thrilled that you put so much love, and effort into putting the trip together.

I wouldn't fly anywhere for one day.. too many hassles. A special spa/hotel overnight would be luxurious and less annoying. And I know you don't love the city, but you could do a day spa, a fine restaurant, and back to a nice hotel, followed by brunch.. There are a couple of very special places in the Berkshires... The Cranwell, and the Wheatleigh... very high end upscale, beautiful grounds and upscale dining at the Wheatleigh... Another romantic place with great food is the American Hotel in Sag Harbour; June would be a great time to go...

I just now looked up the Wheatleigh Hotel: Lenox, Massachusetts. Fine dining, weddings, and meetings. OMG and here is the Hotel in Sag Harbor The American Hotel

What if I just did a night in each of the 6 resorts.

Frank, I would watch your back. I suspect that many of the guys are going to want to "silence" you, so that their wives don't expect similar treatment!

I just put a call to my wifes job and spoke to one of her friends. I should know in a day or two how much time they will give her. our anniversary is on a Tuesday so she needs Tuesday and Wednesday off but if I can get Monday then we can fly some where like that private Island Starting Friday or Saturday. We can also just relax and do the drive to either RI or Mohonk or Sag Harbor. Now that private Yacht has me thinking as well, Pat you seem to always come up with some great ideas, Because of you I am now thinking of adding in Monoco for a few days if I can get there from Paris and back to London with out trouble and skipping Amsterdam.

I think that might be too much of a good thing! Too much travel and not enough relaxing. Choose one and it will be memorable enough. You can always take your wife to another one next year! You don't need to wait for a 25th anniversary...there's always the 26th, 27th, 28th....

I agree.....I was going to tack on Monaco to my Paris trip, but DH couldn't get any more time off. Just you don't hate that?

Anyway, I've decided to go go back, and spend some time in Monaco, and the surrounding towns. BTW, Marriott was running a fabulous deal on ebay for their hotel in Monaco. Don't know if they still are, but I would check periodically, if you have any desire to stay at Marriott......eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

I just spent almost an hour on the phone with my wifes Principal who was more than happy to give us Monday to Wednesday off. I can also get Thursday but she has to call in sick.

This is what I would like to do, on Saturday to Sunday go to Castle On The Hudson - Home Page , I would tell her early in the morning to pack her bags Saturday morning for an over night trip. Then when we come home Sunday tell her to pack her bags for beach we are off to Miami where I could still get there on Sunday or just go Monday and then Monday we go to Key West to catch the Yacht to Florida Resort - Florida Keys Beach Resort & Spa - All Inclusive Luxury Private Island and we go home Wednesday.
The way I figure it if we do a night in Miami she won't think any thing else is coming. I could even just do 2 nights on the Island which might be short but just enough.
Does this sound good or is it to much?

I wouldn't want to be surprised with all that driving and shlepping, but that's me.... If she likes to relax at the beach, just head for the island and be done with it. A private island is a pretty big surprise, Frank... If you don't want to spend all the nights there, spend a night or two in either Miami or Key West, but for a short stay I'd want to fly into and out of Key West.

I spoke to the resort and they said flying in and out of Miami is what most people do. I have to look at other options. I did not think about staying in Key West until now. My wife is not keen on the going to resort to resort but I figure this would be keeping her on her toes.
