  • I need to get a document notarized in a hurry?

I have to get a signature notarized on a document in a hurry. Where do you typically go?

My mom is notary but I might not see her soon enough. Mom is usually my notary. But I might not get to her in time.

Otherwise, try local banks, insurance agents, or license services tomorrow.

If you have trouble at the bank (my bank has only one notary left, always seems to be out to lunch), call your local municipality's office -- if you live in an incorporated village, the Village Clerk should be a notary. If not, the Town office will have one. Failing that, google "notary public" and "your town."

              Pharmacies often have notaries also.

The bank is your answer - but I will also note that a person is not supose to notarize for family members.

Several of our administrative professionals at work are notaries. Ask around.

Around here, shipping stores usually have a notary. If the owner is usually there, he or she is probably a notary. (I used to be on a first-name basis with Frank at our local store, who knew to keep the UPS man chatting if he saw me running down the street with a package.)

I usually use our credit union but once on a weekend I went to the office of the real estate agent who had sold us our home.

Our Local Sheriffs dept. helped me with that.
