In my first apartment I had good friends next door that were not really loud but had a "rockin" good time almost every night. There are so many funny memories this post has reminded me of.

The apartments were a bit old, walls were not thin but with waterbeds on both sides of the wall seperating our apartment from theirs their nightly activities made my waterbed like one of those old hotel beds with the coin slot on the wall. It was like a Massaging bed almost every night just after Star Trek ended on TV.

Many times I was laying in bed and started to feel the shaking it reminded me I needed to turn on the TV because the news was coming on. I did get payback as after the season finale of Star Trek we rocked them by jumping up and down on the bed and whopping and hollering Ride em' Mr. Spock and beam me up Scotty.

The next morning my Neighbor asked wow you must have loved the Finale of star Trek last night sounded like you had a great time afterwards. I just laughed hysterically.

Yes, one night in a hotel, early flight the next morning. We had a couple next door, paper thin walls.

First they would fight, then they would "make up." Then they would fight and ... well, you get the picture. And they would really fight, yelling, etc. And then really "make up," yelling, etc.

It was a long night but by about session number three, we were laughing our heads off.

DH and I were married when he was in grad school. We rented a furnished apartment on campus housing for married students. Needless to say, they were very small and very thin walls. There wasn't much choice of furniture arrangement in the bedroom because of the size of the room.

Unbeknown to us, one of DH's classmates and his wife lived in the apt directly above us. Both apts were identical. Their bedroom was directly over ours.

One time on my way to the laundry room. the other couple was leaving the laundry room as I was just heading there. When they saw me the other DH said, Oh you're the one who lives under us". I never knew what they meant and I never asked. I just wondered how many of our family "secrets" they were privy to.

                  Reminder

Reminds me of living in San Bernardino in the fifties. A neighbor routinely whupped up on his wife, even chasing her around the back yard with a butcher knife. Never caught her, either because he didn't really want to or she always outran him.
