I got suspended from over yonder for intimating the UAW might have been the acuse of GM and Chrysler's demise. Must be a lot of union members there, since employer bashing is encouraged. So much for even handedness.

Over its history OY has veered between being very open and being quite restrictive on speech. If it is now going to a more restrictive mode, the pendulum will ultimately swing back. I post OY from time to time and have not really noticed any particular problems of late. Generally, I have been impressed since Brian took over with his evenhandedness and dealing fairly with free and open speech. I suggest just rolling with the punches and not worrying about it. OY they do not allow political comments, and here they should be made on the appropriate board.

I'm going to say this in the nicest way I know how:
There are ways to say things that are constructive. And ways to say things that aren't. I haven't read the post in question, but I have read others that you've written, and they're often not constructive. What's more, I don't see why a dispute between you and some other discussion forum is a worthy topic here on this discussion forum---and I recall this being the question the last time you brought this up over here.
As my wife would say, "This sounds like a personal problem."

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I hate to be the one telling you this, but the problem isn't TUG. The problem is your posting style. If you post that way here, you are likely to be banned as well. It has nothing to do with the content of what you say. It all has to do with the way in which you say it. Free speech always has its limits. Each board has its line. Figure out what the line is here. If you don't cross it, you will remain. If you cross it, you'll be gone. It's as simple as that. The onus will be on you to figure out where that line is. You will get lots of help. So, claiming ignorance and intolerance won't work. Go for it. There is a place for just about anything here politically or otherwise. If you see your posts moving to other forums. Keep posting there. You'll be fine. Have fun.

It really doesn't matter to me as to what side a political comment falls- I just know that the other side will make a counter comment and away it goes, so when a comment is political it goes to that forum. The first post in this thread brought up a red flag (union-management) and I might have moved it to politics had it had any more political comments.
