  • Lost my internet for 3 days

I lost my internet for 3 days turned out the modem fried. I found the problem after pulling my hair with verizon tech for 6 hours total. It could have been worse if I did not have a spare modem. Thank God I had that old modem sitting here or i would be down for 3 more days while i get the new one shipped.

Funny how we depend on things that didn't exist some years ago. If I go out and forget my cell phone, I panic. When I think that when I was 17 or 18, I drove the crappiest cars and if I broke down, I walked to the nearest pay phone...yikes....

Ugh, I hate when my computer's down, and I hate dealing with Verizon. ...Welcome back!

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wow, I never let mine go out, it's dangerous out there in the real world.

Everyone should have an old modem sitting around, you have a spare tire don't you?

That would be the "Big" part of BigFrank.

Glad to have you back Frank. My 3 month old laptop's harddrive crashed and I've been without it for 10 days now and could be another 10 more before I get it back. ..luckily DS sleeps late so I can get essential internet things done in the AM and check intermittently during the afternoons.

Anyone who needs internet access for a short amount of time, should check out their local public library. Most offer free internet service and charge minimally for printing. Around here, one of the department stores also offers free internet access, but no printing capability. These services aren't ideal for people who need regular access, but can be a great help in a pinch - at least to keep up with email. I wish all those hackers out there would put their skills to good use!

I just received my new modem and it is not the same as I had. They gave me a new one with a wireless router built in. It is beeter than my old modem but my Router was a top of the line N router from D Link. I think I might be down grading now. Any way I am going to work on swaping it now so I might noot be back so soon.

                      Good Luck!

It is probably the same one I have. Dependable.
