what does it mean to say he is a tool. As in Jon (of Jon and kate ) is a tool.
I have heard the new manager of the restaurant is a tool, and it is not good, but that is as far as i can decipher it.

It means a person is a major jerk, an a$$hole, usually self-centered and mean to others.

How the term relates to a hardware item (a real tool used for work), I do not know.

The "tool" in question refers to a certain masculine organ. To put it bluntly, it's like saying he's a d*ck.

        From the Urban Dictionary.....

tool ......One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin. Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-steem.
That tool dosen't even know she's just using him.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
