Check that thread for Best Time in your area. It may be 5 to 6 AM. They claim there could be as many as 60 per hour.

How many are going to dress warmly and lay out to watch the sky?

Here, it is supposed to be 55 degrees and clear skies from now till 8 AM. I think I'll get up to star gaze.

I went out in the yard with my dog about a half hour ago - looked up for a minute and saw one right away My neck gave out after another few minutes - I wasn't prepared to do the lay down and looking up thing, and my yard has too much tree cover and spill over light for optimal conditions. So I feel lucky to have seen one at all!
If they are still around tomorrow, we will make more of an event of it.

Went out about 5:00Am and saw 1 meteor, then clouds came across again. Went back out a 6:00 and saw 1 more. Oh well 2 better than none I guess.

Zip... But the cat got about 15 minutes of quality scratching and I enjoyed a nice cup of coffee.. I admit I did spend more time looking at the cat than the sky, however, so I might have missed a few.

Went out at 4am ET and the sky was completely clear, saw one that looked like it came down a 100 yards away, then I went back to bed.

I thought it was clouds, but it was really smoke coming from the NYC area.
How big was that cigar ?
