An alternative to the Iphone with less aps and a nice keyboard. I wouldn't rush- there may be some bugs.

Well I took the bait. I am hooked on this Droid.

Now the family has 3 Droids in 2 days.

          Let's leave it at that.

I tested one last night. I really liked the look and feel. It's similar to the iPhone, but I found it easier to type on the screen than the iPhone.

We'll be purchasing one when our contract is up!

PS. My Son's Girlfriend just got one. We were all sitting at the table exchanging contacts! What a rip.

This is definitely a strong contender for the iPhone! Watch out AT&T.

This is great news because we need the competition as it is good for advancing technology further and Apple will have to keep their prices in check because of healthy competition. I like that!

I always have liked our Motorola cell phones in the past so hope they will do OK and so far so good. I just read this link.

By the way, here is another upbeat article about the Palm Pre too. The more competition, the better.

The story of 4 Droids in 3 days

On a family share plan with 3 phones Wife and Son are eligible for new phone upgrade. I am not eligible until Sept '10.

At 8:00am on 11/06 launch day Son is outside queuing up for the Verizon store to open. Gets Droid 1. I intend to get one for wife next day. In the interim I call Verizon and ask "What are you going to do for me" since I might be interested. Rep says she will speak to supervisor and call me back. No call back by end of day. So I am thinking she just blew me off. Go get wife the Droid 2 on Saturday and ask at Verizon store about my upgrade. No can do. You must pay full price. Later on at 2:00pm get call from Verizon rep I spoke to on Friday. She says her supervisor granted me an early upgrade, and she noticed both Droids on the acct already. At 8:30pm I get Droid 3. One big happy Droid family. Then Son's Girlfriend gets wind of the Droid. Next day on Sunday she sealed the deal with her Droid 4.

In a word this phone is amazing. Excellent. Awesome. I am very impressed.

I have not yet absorbed all of the functionality.

Has it multi-tasking like the Palm Pre has? I believe that Sprint is selling this phone. I am curious.

I am still very happy with my iPhone but multi-tasking would be nice.

                      Hi Emmy,

You would think with all of my connectivity that would have the chance to check in here at the TS4MS and see you post. However the opposite is true. I am just so distracted by all of the other day to day activities. I have not had a chance to check into the 4MS until now. Must be having so much fun with my Droid!

As far as the multi tasking I would have to say yes. I am not sure how palm defines multi tasking but it sure does handle mutliple apps at one time.

I am with sprint, My son just got there droid phone the HTC EVO, It is a 4 G phone and the first of it's kind. I have to say that I am impressed. Last night he was using it with the sling box at home to watch Cable TV, The picture quility was better than my lap top plus there was no delay because of his speed.
