i have the droid. I like the Android Operating system but I hate the keyboard on the droid. I installed an aftermarket on-screen keyboard call Swype (google it) and it makes on screen typing a breeze. I never open the hardware keyboard now.

If purchasing now I would go with an incredible.

Frank I preordered 2 Evos in May and got both of them on June 4th. It is a great phone and worth the wait to get one. After sprint announced there was going to be a $10.00 4G charge I called and got them to waive the fee on one of the Evos. I have read that they are no longer waving the $10.00 fee anymore. I haven't gone through a billing cycle yet so I am not sure if it got waived.

Have you looked at the app Google Goggles yet. If you haven't have Sal dl it from the Android Market and check it out.

There will be so many more smatphone coming out by the end of the year that will make this one look ordinary. HTC, Samsung, and Motorola are the manufactures to watch if you want a high-end phone with bells and whistle. I think the days of Apple and AT&T ruling the smartphone market is over.

I haven't read if HP is going to get in the market of building smartphones now that they bought out Palm. Microsoft is going to introduce a smartphone.

Don't want to hyjack the thread but good place to pass this along.
I have the Verizon HTC Eris and reciently did the OS upgrade to Droid 2.03 and right afterward starting getting notification that phone memory running low even tho it wasn't. Turns out it is an OS bug and eventually caused phone to lock up when trying to send text msg because phone thought it was out of memory. Fix was a factory reset which lost all apps and had to reload. Anyway, there is a patch coming out soon (I think it will be Droid OS 2.07) and I would advise Eris users to wait for that before upgrading.

One thing I have learned from my Blackberry experience is to back up often. I have been able to recover from a couple problems by using the backup I did to/from the computer. I wish my wife would back up her system, but she 'doesn't have time'.

You know, it's funny. There are all of these awesome bullet points and tech features and the thing that interests me the most, is the little pop out stand haha.
I have an iPhone and do love it but seriously, having to hold onto it through an entire movie is annoying and it's nice rounded corners prevent it from leaning up against anything as it just slides around or falls over.
