Support pet medical tax relief

I don't have any pets. Why should my tax dollars go to other owners so that they can take care of their pets?
If someone wants a pet, they should pay their own expenses or get rid of the pet. If they can't afford the pet, they should ask for donors who share their love of pets. Keep the tax payers out of this type of activity.
I am against spending tax payer dollars for all pork projects like this one. It's legislation like this that is the cause for our Massive Federal budget deficit. If you have a cause you want supported, then seek donors for these ideas. The USA is bankrupt and it can't afford it.
I am equally against ALL government programs. The US Military should run as a profit center. If other countries want protection, they need to start paying for it.
Social security and medicare/medicaid should be privatized. I don't mind tax credits for the poor. Government should get out of the business of being in business.

If someone wants to have a child, they should pay their own expenses or not have the child in the first place.

There are relatively inexpensive and comprehensive medical care plans for pets to be had. I carry them on all my pets. Believe me when I tell you a horse needs one of those! But cats and dogs and damn I wish I had covered the lizard!
People don't think to cover their 4 legged companions and they should. The outlay is a lot less than my human coverages and the deductibles are a lot smaller.
The government should not subsidize pet medical expenses.Lawren

There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favourite places is on the back of my horse.

Oh yeah, now that I have around $ 1,000 in vet expenses for October. They do sell health insurance for pets- hell they will sell insurance for anything if they can make huge profits.

Of all the problems we have, it's hard to believe that they're considering tax relief for veterinary bills.
I love my dog and spend a lot of money on that pooch. But I'd much rather see things like allowing credit card interest to be itemized again. Business expenses should be a direct right off rather itemized IMHO, even though I'm not longer a salesman.
Basically, there are so many other tax changes to consider before going into tax relief for pet owners. Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/

This rule is exactly right. Now, apply that standard to EVERYTHING in the federal government and you will completely understand my conservative fiscal philisophy. Nobody should be FORCED to pay taxes for something they are against. This applies to military, farm subsidies, abortion payments by the government, etc.
The government should NOT be involved in subsidizing ANYTHING. There should be a flat tax with NO deductions.
When the government decides to run a program, it is choosing winners and losers. The free market should be choosing winners and losers.
For some reason, liberals believe that losers should be subsidized by the winners. I say the losers should work harder and smarter to become winners instead or remain losers forever. It's their choice.

The bottom line is that Capitalism is the best economic system ever implemented. 100% of all socialist systems have failed miserably.
Just take a look at China. For 5000 years, it was the most prosperous country in the world. It dominated everything, it created everything including pasta, gun powder, the recording device, etc. They only lost the 20th century when they did a stupid thing called communism. Now that they are getting back to capitalism, they will be on top again within the next 75-100 years. Just in the last 20 years, they have made more progress as a country than we have in the last 100. You should take a visit. The Chinese are just begging Americans to allow Obama to socialize this country. Then, they will pick pocket us and buy up all the prime real estate and properties. Americans will become their indendured slaves.

You are becoming paranoid and delusional and falling into the GOP profile of trying to place negative labels on people when you are not spewing outright hatred. Capitalism, as we have seen lately, needs strong regulation to prevent greed from destroying the entire financial system. As to China, their heavily regulated move towards capitalism has kicked the crap out of our lightly regulated system.
