  • McAfee Intenet Security Suite with Advisor

I purchased a ACER Aspire One. It had McAfee Intenet Secuity Suite with Advisor software loaded on it. I went to the control panel - Add or Remove Programs and removed it and rebooted the computer. Then I tried to load Kaspersky Internet Security on it (have an extra license) and it tell me that McAfee Intenet Secuity Suite with Advisor is still on the computer. I go back to the Add or Remove Programs and it doesn's show up.

Any suggestions on what I do next?

Try again after shutting down the computer. Next, check the the r key, as it looks like a lot of r's are missing.

Google "removing mcafee internet security suite". There are several solutions there, but since you didn't mention what version of Mcafee or your OS version, I can't point you to a specific solution as they vary based on what you have installed.

Odd that it is showing up if the remove program control panel shows that it is gone.

You could try going to the program folders, find McAfee and delete the folder for that part.

            Pigs Dad,

Thanks, I googled it and found a fix, should have thought of that myself.

            Thanks again.
