Anti virus trigger malware

Antivirus trigger malware has infected my friend's computer. I am getting pop ups every 10 seconds reading " system alert: Trojan-spy.win32@mx" and it keeps directing my web browser to this anti virus trigger homepage. Help please?

Having Virus Trigger in your system implies having a badly infected computer. VirusTrigger is a fake antivirus program which attempts to convince the user to purchase their software through a variety of methods. The software shows that the user has many viruses in their computer when in fact they may not have any.
Remove VirusTrigger .exe & dlls files

VirusTrigger.exe
VirusTrigger.url
VirusTrigger.lnk
VirusTriggerBin.exe
VirusTriggerBinWarning.dll

Remove/Modify corrupt Registry Values

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\VirusTrigger
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VirusTrigger
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run “VirusTrigger”

I was happy to have you here helping out but if you do not mind can I ask you why you needed to make up 2 accounts to ask questions and then anwser your own help question? Is there a reason for this?

Can't you and kristain just discuss this in the office, or are you both just one person ? If you were really a computer expert, you might have a clue that some websites have software to determine when there are two seperate id's posting from the same computer. Frank, which one should we throw out ? Or maybe both ?

Normaly I would remove them both but I must say I enjoy watching Kristain talk to her self.

AntiVirus Trigger is new clone of VirusTrigger which is an extremely dangerous program that will try to get you to purchase it in order to continue to infect your PC. It looks like it is a clone of other viruses, which is maybe why your antivirus software can't remove find it. You may have to manually remove it...

Kristan and Sofia why are you trying now to add another 3rd person id here? Do you suffer from a multiple personality disorder?
