Congrats on making your 1000 post, We used to have a great free photo server untill we had to shut it down because of a hacker. I use both Christmas Cards, Photo Books, Greeting Cards, Photo Cards, Photo Wedding Invitations by Snapfish and Photo Books, Holiday Cards, Photo Cards, Birth Announcements, Photo Printing | Shutterfly but I am sure someone will post a better site to use. I moved thiis to the Photo forum so we can keep the site links here.

Pam, people here seem to use the following links and some others too.

Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

Christmas Cards, Photo Books, Greeting Cards, Photo Cards, Photo Wedding Invitations by Snapfish

PictureTrail: Online Photo Sharing, Image Hosting, Online Photo Albums, Photo Slideshows

Webshots - Photo Sharing, Free Wallpaper and Free Screensavers

All are free up to a certain limit, I believe. Then there is Picasa by Google and Flickr from Yahoo. You want more?

I use Picasa. It is easy to use. I have learned to use the "light" verison that just uploads pictures to your albums. The full version seems to "take over" all my photos and wants to organize them and do more than I really want to do. I just want to put vacation photos into albums. You can have private albums that you share with only those who you send the link to.

I used to use Snapfish and still have an account, but you do have to purchase prints at least once a year from them to keep it active. The prints are not expensive and they mail them. I generally upload a few pics and have the prints sent to my mother in her assisted living center in Louisiana to keep my account current.

PS - congrats on 1000 posts! I am glad to see you posting again!!

I use Webshots for my photos I want to put up quick and dirty but Photobucket and Snapfish are both also good and easy to use.
As far as security, non are totally secure and if you are worried about other people using your photos then just post them at a fairly low size and resolution. You can post a photo for looking at on the web at a much lower resolution than you can print from so if you post at a low size then people can see it but can't download it and really do anything with it.

I have Snapfish and only bought prints once several years ago. I checked the account last night and am still a member. I saw albums as far back as 2006. It was fun to look through them again.

I know for a fact that Picasa does give limited space. I just checked Picture Trail and they still advertise "Signup for Free". They use Flickr. I pay a small yearly fee so there is no advertising on the page. I may discontinue it because I use Smugmug and like it the best but Smugmug isn't free so I didn't mention it.

I use both Webshots and Smugmug. I really prefer Smugmugs layout and slideshow but, I have so many thousands of timeshare and cruise photo's on Webshots that I keep both accounts. Both charge a annual fee around $30. Webshots use to have a free version that had a limited amount of photo's you could put up. I started my wife out with the free version but it didn't take long before she had more photo's to post than allowed so, we put her on the paid version. So now I actually have three seperate accounts.

Doug, is Smugmug not free for Marriott owners? I thought it was but only for Marriott resort images. Has that changed? I didn't bother to transfer my account as I have too many other pictures besides Marriott.

                            PS.

You are my friend on Smugmug so it is easy to keep up to date with your Marriott pictures. Your albums are the best!

No, it's not free. They only give you a $10 discount for the first year.

Not all of my Smugmug photo albums are presented on Marriott's site. Only the albums I specifically link to My-vacationclub.com.
