  • Leaving Computer Shut Off????

Are there any problems with leaving a PC shut off for 3 months?

Other than 3 months worth of upgrades when you turn it back on, I don't see a problem. My oldest computer was off for longer than that and when I finally restarted it, it ran as fast as when it was new (after hours of upgrades).

My concern is losing stuff, like it might think I have lost interest, & go away, feeling unwanted.

If you weren't using the computer, it was a good idea to shut it off. As Tony said, you will have to do all the upgrades from windows, virus software, etc.

          Dumpped Stuff

YAHOO informed me that after so many days, they will clear emails that haven't been acted on. I would think (from that) that even as my PC were off, emails would pile up and possibly activate "deletion action" of old emails.
          I sorta figure, "Who cares."

I have before, perged the files to "activate" a recent date.

I see no positive reason to run up 3 months on your system and electric bill.

This seems strange from Yahoo. I use that as a secondary email account usually for groups, etc. I have emails there that have never been opened for years with no problems. I get a duplicate email in my primary account, but want to keep these.

Hotmail will deactivate or do something similar to your account if you do not check in at least every XX (can't remember number) days.
