  • Computer not working....

Verizon is having problems in my area, and my computer hasn't been working correctly since yesterday. Grrrrr!

I just got off the phone with them, and they are trying their best, but do not know when the issues will be fixed.

I can sometimes get to the site (TS4M's), but then opening links are hit and miss. Mostly, they will not open.

I am not able to open Interval International, RCI, facebook, or many other website sites.

This is one of the reasons I really like having devices that can use the cellular infrastructure if necessary. My house has wired service through comcast, and I can also get to the net through AT&T and Verizon cellular on battery-powered devices, so I'm almost never completely cut off, even in a power outage.

Do you have Fios or DSL? I had trouble last night as well. I thought it was my computer but it could have been my DSL. I have been waiting for FIOS to be in my area but we maybe the last to get it.

You will love Verizon FIOS. I have had Verizon FIOS for 6 years now. We have it for Internet, TV, and our landline phone. We were the first city to get it.

                  Frank,

I have Fios.....I've been given a ticket no., and received a text from verizon saying the problem might not be fixed until 7PM Dec 14.

I spoke with them on the phone, and the problem is wide spread throughout the NY area. Obviously, they said they were doing what they can, blah, blah, blah.

One minute I can get online, the next minute I can't. I'm having all kinds of issues opening pages, and links. Most links won't open. Even when a page does open, it doesn't have any pictures, and whole sections can be missing. It's crazy!

I did not think of doing it last night but I do Teether my Cell to my lap top. In fact it is faster than my DSL. I also can do it for free with it costing me anything to do.

My computer is working much better today, but is not yet back to normal. I'm still having problems with links......Trying to post sightings from II was a nightmare. Half the time I would click a location, and receive a totally blank blue page. So, not really sure what's available today. I gave up trying.
