    Anybody have a Kindle Fire?

    I got one today.

I got tired of using my netbook which is slow as molasses these days. I guess it's got a virus although it still works.

The iphone is way too small for me to surf on and I wanted something to take on vacations with me. I hope I made a good choice.

    Anybody else here have one?
    Do you like it?
Any good app recommendations before I fill it up with junk?

I bought one when they first came out. I had it preordered. I got it for travel as I don't want to bring my laptop anywhere with me.

I wish I could tell you more about it, but I haven't been using it. I downloaded a couple books, but found I'd rather hold a paperback than the Kindle. I have Amazon Prime, so that gives me free movies and TV shows on the Kindle. My husband has used it for watching shows and I think he put a magazine sub on there.

My husband seemed to enjoy it and use it a lot, but he hasn't lately. Maybe he lost it.

Actually I kind of like the idea of the movies and TV shows.
How does that work? Do you have to pay extra for that?
        I'm sure nothing is free.

I was also thinking of opening an Amazon store. Has anybody sold on Amazon using the Kindle? You'd think they'd have an app for that.

Do you have Amazon Prime? If so, you get a lot of free movies and TV shows. Otherwise, the prices are around $1.00 - $4.00. If you don't have Amazon Prime, you may want to sign up for that. It costs $79./per year, but if you buy stuff from Amazon, you get free 2day shipping. I only recently learned that it also gives free movies and TV shows on the Kindle. It's been well worth it for me, just on the 2 day shipping alone.

I haven't looked into having an Amazon Store.

            Great Value

I bought one when the first come out, and now have to fight the family for it. Everyone loves it. The picture quality is excellent. The options are amazing. Movies, Games, Audio Books, and great web access.

I didn't know they had audio books. That could be nice for those really long car rides.

                      Secret Betrayals

The Merriam Webster Online dictionary defines lust as an "intense longing" and love as "strong affection for another". As human beings, we sometimes get love and lust confused and once the characters of Secret Betrayals cross these two emotions, their relationships will reap its chaotic aftermath.

                        Kindle Fire

As I've stated before I love mine. I had a Kindle 3 (aka. Kindle Keyboard). No apps that I think that are really great, but daily I check for free books. There are a couple of Facebook groups that post free books, also one posts free Apps. Daily Amazon has a free app. I keep downloading them, thinking maybe grandkids will like them. Using you Kindle, go to Apps, then App store everyday to check what is free.

You probably get a month of free Prime. I signed up for it for a year. 2 day shipping from Amazon, some free movies and tv shows, and can borrow books. I also have borrowed free books from our public library. The only downside of that is you can only have them for a week, so you'd better be ready to read them.

Ask if you have any specific questions.

                        Nancy

Unfortunately, they tend to use "books aimed at the ladies," and Fantasy too much, but sometimes there are things worth reading.

I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I love it. It does exactly what I want a tablet to do. I love the email app and several others.

I started a thread for Kindle Fire users about a month ago on the Computer forum which has some good info.

                                http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...ire-users.html

It might be a good idea to merge these 2 threads and make them a sticky in the Computer forum.
