Jerky Laptop

DW's little mini LT with WIN XP has started running really jerky. It means a long delay for it to respond.

Right now I'm running an AVG scan and it will run scan a couple of items, stop, wait, run a couple more, stop, wait, instead of flying through everything like normal.

It doesn't need defragging.

Any ideas?

clear your cookies and history also download a spy ware program like lavasoft ad a ware

I forgot to say I cleared TIF and history.

AVG did not find anything.

She says it's a little better.

The internet speed is really sllllooooooowwwwww.

I'm looking into that.
