Campatibility Mode

Is the reason I can't use some websites because I have IE7?

Frinstance, I can't use Best Buy and I can't find a way to switch to Compatibility Mode. The little torn page thingie is not up there on their site and I can't switch following their instructions.

Yeah, I know, I said Campatibility, and can't change the title.

Now I can see Best Buy Black Friday and Cyber Monday stuff, without clicking to go to another page. Maybe it was something they were using to hide that.
