I hear good things about Brother printers and will be looking into them.
I have an Epson at work that takes regular paper and 11X17" paper. It is 11 years old, prints a lot and still works fairly well. When my current ink supply is exhausted, I will replace this with something that will handle the same paper.
I have an HP 6500 wireless. It is 3-4 years old. Figured it would be good for my laptop printing or the hardwired desktop. I believe it uses more ink per page than the Epson.
It has some nice features (double side printing, scanning, etc) but has some faults. I can't get it to scan to the desktop, wireless printing is hit and miss with more misses than hits.
Whatever I get for home, cost per page will be a high consideration for me. At work, it is cost and paper size.
