  • Website addresses showing up in history...how is this possible?

We rarely use internet explorer, but tonight we noticed websites in the history that we did not type in. Is there any way that website addresses can get into your history without someone typing them in...like through a virus? (We're trying to determine of a babysitter may have typed them in or if there is any way they can surface by themselves.)

    Thanks,

    Sharon

It was me... sorry... I am so addicted to the dark side of the web so much that I had to come to your house and use your computer too... Strange given we have five computers running at our house not including my work laptops(2-more)... So, 7-computers total

ETA: I looked at our history and I don't see sites that we didn't visit per-say but if you go to a site with pop-ups or with things inside frames then those sites show up in the list as well....

But, lately I don't get to surf much...

lol...thanks Ken. These are the types of sites that definitely could have come from pop-ups! I just want to figure out how to prevent that from happening in the future.
