If it was only a few sites that no longer displayed properly I wouldn't mind so much. I am finding that probably around 1 in 3 sites don't display properly. The problems aren't consistent across sites either. Examples are text overlaying frames; inability to resize text; sidebars overlaying main body.
My recommendation would be - if you aren't using IE7 yet don't move to it. I am using Firefox more and more these days and will probably dump IE completely once I'm satisfied that all the sites I use on a regular basis work correctly.

Could some of you that report the issues with certain websites, list a couple of them? So far, I've been fortunate in that none of the websites I have visited since installing IE7 have had any problems.

I would like to see what you are talking about. Thanks.

Have a look at www.trekearth.com If I try to use any text size other than medium the format of the pages is awful.

Even on this site, if I try to change text size the page expands off the sides of the screen rather than wrapping the text to a new line.

          Keith,

This is interesting. I went to the trek link and changed all of the views from medium to the smallest all the way up to the largest. All of the views reacted correctly and the page remained in the window width the same as the medium view.

I even experimented on this page that I am writing this reply on. Again, the fonts changed size but the window width and features remained the same.

I'm not an advanced computer person. I wonder what could cause the differences? Would it be setting on one's personal computer or ISP? This is very interesting to me.

It won't be an ISP issue. It's probably a setting in IE, but as I didn't make any changes apart from downloading and installing it's more than a little annoying. I had to dig down into the bowels of IE to enable the 'Insert Link' icon to work properly. I'll have to dig deeper and see what I can find. Thanks for checking and providing the feedback.

                  Keith,

I know the original newspaper article mentioned that it was important to disable any antivirus and other security software before installing the download. Perhaps that may have had an impact.

I haven't changed any settings on my computer or IE other than to add the Read Mail button to the toolbar in IE 7.

I installed it today. I will continue to use Firefox as my primary browser.

Why you people like Firefox? I don't know anything about it. What does it do that IE 6 or 7 doesn't?

My son uses it and likes it much better than IE. He likes the tabs the most and the controls on it.

I am trying it out but I would like to move the URL bar below the menu bar and links bar. I have tried but no luck so far.

                                Thanks,
