      Check out www.telescope.com

A correct-image diagonal will make the image appear right.

Don't know much about telescopes but on the binoculars with digital camera, I would not buy those combination ones. The photos they produce are usually from what I have seen not particularly good. They are generally low megapixel cameras that are encorporated with them. Many that I have seen do not really use the binocular lenses to take the picure thru, they use their own lens so you don't really "get what you see" . I would suggest buying a decient digital camera for your pics and if you want a pair of bonocs for viewing there are a lot of choices depending on what you are going to mainly use them for.

                marti-
porro prisms are the ones that bend the light out to the sides and then forward, making a kind of big binocular. roof prisms bend it mainly up and down, making it more compact. if you can balance it on one palm, it's certainly a roof prism. by the way, get the largest field-of-view even at the expense of lower power; you can't look at something close-up, if you can't even find it in the glass. light gathering

It seemed to me that the old big heavy ones (were they poro) had greater light gathering ability. I could use them at dusk or sunrise and see better and brighter than the naked eye..where on the other hand my newer more compact ones never seemed to have that ability.

                    Binoculars

I just purchased a Nikon Extreme binoculars for my upcoming trip to Costa Rica.

I was able to obtain most of my research into purchasing binoculars via Google especially under bird watching. I was fortunate enough to find the model I wanted on eBay at a decent price.
