My 12yo DD was in a beta test for a new pay-as-you-go service. They gave her a super-nice camera phone. The beta test is ending and we don't want to continue the service. But we do want to keep using this nice phone (which they are letting us keep).
I hear you have to "unlock" the phone and I guess put in a new SIM card.
Is changing the SIM card the same as unlocking it? How does this work? How do I do it? Where do I get the card? I would be switching the phone over to become a TracFone, which is what my DH and I have.
I would just call TracFone, but their customer service is soooo horrible, I thought I better have an idea of what I'm asking before I ask.
Thanks for any info.
