Floppy Disks

I know I should know this, but it has been to long since cleaned off a floopy disk and reformated it. How do you do it? I have old Sony Digital Mavica camera that saves to floppy disk, when I just delete the old pictures, it won't use the floppy again. Thanks.

FORMAT A: with the disk in the drive on the computer should do it. I don't understand why deleting the images alone doesn't work on the camera. Is there a menu of any kind in-camera for formatting the disk?

If you can't find the book, check Sony's website support section. Many/most manuals for techie things can be found online these days.
