Back about the Trip West timeframe there were comments about DSL, routers and secure/unsecure ways, etc.
I didn't pay a lot of attention as I was involved in the good life.
I'm ready for Verizon High Speed Internet but will still be connected via phone line. I'd like to rig a router for wireless to 2 other in-house computers and my laptop (from the deck).
Verizon offers 768 Kbps service for 1st three months. $19.99 for months 4 - 12. Or 3.0 Mbps at $19.99 for six months then $29.99 for months 7 -12.
I can live with 768 Kbps as that is much faster than the 47 I have NOW. I'm on dial up with one PC.
I just wonder if the higher speed is required for access by my PC with 3 more hooked wireless through a router PCs?
Remember, all will still connect via the one phone line coming into the house.
