    Just as an aside:

There was a 20/20 broadcast a while ago that DH called me down to watch about GPS in England.

Seems these little robots have been sending everyone through small towns causing all sorts of traffic in sleepy little villages. Including very large trucks which can't get thru the sometimes very narrow town roads!

      Frank,
From what I read you can buy Europe maps for most of the major brands, but, generally they aren't cheap.
I have the TomTom and really like it. I came with both US and Canada maps but the Western Europe set of maps is $200.
I am sure you can also buy the Europe maps for both Garman and Magellan also but like I said they are usually kind of expensive.
