Email gone crazy...again

Starting last evening, I am now getting the same 18 emails over and over and over again. I empty out the email box, delete what I don't want and then back they come. I think I've had this happen at least 10 times...and it does let some new one in too..just adding to the repeats. I've rebooted..thinking that would help, but I just opened it up again and here they come again. Are the gremlins going crazy in there, or what? How can I stop it. It is Earthlink and this has happened at least twice before.

Is your mail account through outlook or the web ?

This afternoon I decided to go into my 'webmail' and see what was going on there. There was one 'undeliverable' email, which I deleted. The rest were new, or the ornery ones that kept clogging up my Earthlink mailbox. I read what I wanted, then deleted everything else. That seems to have taken care of the problem. I think it must have been that undeliverable one that was causing all the problems.
Yes, I will run my anti-virus program tonight.
I guess my mail comes through outlook via Earthlink? Sorry Tony, I really don't know about that kind of stuff.

This used to happen to me sometimes. If the email is to large it will get cut off. The email account will keep trying to deliver all the email until all have been delivered. The only way to clear it is to go on the web and clear it from there.
