Glad to hear that you got most of your photos back. It's good that you hadn't taken very many new ones on that card!!!!
Digital photography is great, you can take as many photos as you want and not worry about developing and all that but it has it's pitfalls also, mostly creating a system of downloading and backing up that you are comfortable with.
