  • anyone else having trouble with the new Firefox update?

I updated Firefox the other day and now the screen is blank, with the content way off to the left in a tiny 1/4" strip. NOTHING I can do will center the page, I've had to abandon Firefox for the last few days. A new update tonight didn't help, and I've trashed it and downloaded it again, also to no avail....

    Is it just me?

I downloaded it in response to a prompt about three days ago, and got another today.

I see that 2.0.0.7 is now available- not sure what I'm running, but I haven't had any updates lately other than auto-updates, if any.

Thanks. I dunno what's going on, but I have been forced to revert to Safari, which is far inferior imho. I guess I'll wait and see for a while. Tech Support here is stumped, and he's usually excellent... Am considering talking to the guys at the Genious Bar at the Apple store -- I know they're supposed to be more hardware oriented, but I have a feeling they might help...

            Yippee, problem solved!!!

Tech Support found about 15 versions of Firefox on my hard drive after doing a Spotlight search. I think it may have been saving old versions and saving each new version separately. So we deleted them all, then downloaded it again, and Voila

Glitter...Glad to hear the problem is solved. I think you didn't mention that you use a MAC, and everybody was passing you PC information. The updates are not the same...

I'm really just guessing you have a MAC, though, cause they now make Safari for the PC, too, although I haven't figured out why yet.

Good timing- while I'm reading this I was prompted for that 2.0.0.7 download installation- now I can do it without fear.
