Frank, looks like a pretty good deal & and a good box.
Only thing, if I read it correctly you didn't opt for any of the year 2 or 3 extented warranty and on a laptop I would consider that.
I know that some folks don't like Dell these days but I have had really good luck with them for both my desktop and mine and my son's laptops.

I'm not a fan of HP tho, and I do think a 17" screen is much better than 15.4".

They are both good deals but the 17 inch is what I am looking for. I wish it would have came with 2 gigs of ram or at least a built in 1 gig stick. I might go for it because for the money that 17 inch is cheap.
