I don't see any mention of hard drives. If your using Premiere you really want 2 seperate drives so you can keep the application and swap files on seperate disks. I don't mean 2 partitions on the same drive - 2 physical drives.
Also is the 64 bit version of Vista overkill? Last I heard there was a limited amount of software actually designed for this platform. You may also have trouble finding drivers for peripherals.

Good question. I am going to us the HDs I already have.

        2 - SATA 250GB Seagate Barracudas
        1 - SATA 360 GB Seagate Barracuda

From what I have read Vista Ultimate will make adjustments for any 32 bit apps.

The biggest problem with 64 bit is that you CANNOT install unsigned drivers. This will eliminate a lot of smaller vendors and some less popular cards from bigger vendors. For me this would be a deal killer.

I placed an order today for the computer components I previously listed. I did change the video card to a XFX GeForce 8600GT instead of the XFX GeForce 8500 GT.

I am also going to install the 32 bit Windows Vista Ultimate. I should have it running by this weekend. This will be my first time putting a system together.

            Thanks for the advise,
            Mike
