If you have a broken Canon camera, did you know you can get a refurbished, newer model camera from Canon for about $150 + tax + $10 shipping?
Amazing deal.
I bought a Canon SD-110 for my SIL 2 years ago. It got dropped one day (while at Disneyland!) and quit working. I just called Canon and they are sending me a Canon SD-630 for $172!
If you are interested, here is what you need to do
1. Have your camera handy.
2. Have your credit card near too.
3. Call Canon at (866) 443-8002,press option 2 when you hear the greeting.
4. Tell them you are calling about the camera upgrade program. [If you didn't drop the camera etc. and if you think the camera stopped working on its own, then you may get the replacement for free, so don't forget to ask for a free repair/upgrade if this is the case.]
5. They will ask for the serial number and issue a case number.
6. Someone in the Sales desk will take down your address and CC information. They will tell you what camera you qualify for.
Your camera will arrive in 2 business days and you are required to put your broken camera in a postage paid envelop and send back to Canon within couple of days. Pretty simple.
