I have ordered Skype and put it on my portable and am going to put it on my home computer. A Question: what happens if we travel and I use skype and while I am on it, my daughter tries to use it at home or she is on it and I try to use it?

I have never tried this but in researching the Skype website I found this
you can use the same account to sign in from multiple locations at the same time.
So I would think you should have no problem being on Skype with two computers at the same time. Test it out while at home and connect with both your desktop and notebook and see if there is a conflict. My guess is they will both work fine and you could set there and talk to each other.

Many of the internet cafes here have Skype headphones, and you just click on Skype and enter your user name and password and make calls. I did that a few times when I first got here and was still living out of a hotel. Now, I use the same Skype account on both my office and home computers. International rates are great, only 1.7 eurocents per minute to the US.

Skype used to be one of the best ways to make secure calls, but now it is believed that the Russians have been able to hack into Skype. Of course that only matters if you are in a country where the FSB is active and likely to be talking about something they are interested in, and probably only inside Russia.

Yes you can simultaneously use Skype on 2 computers using the same account and I've done it before because I'm a Skype user too. I seldom use it now because I realized that I'm paying more calling overseas compared to other voip providers and eventually switched to SunRocket.

I was happy with SunRocket service but it was short lived because they belly up just after a few months. Now I'm using Onesuite.com both for prepaid calling card and voip calls and Onesuite is a little better because its a phone card and voip service in one.

My calls to the US from eastern Europe are 1.7 eurocents a minute on Skype which is hard to beat.
