      Download = 15,490 kb's
      Upload = 1.878 kb's.
      Server = Los Angeles

      I have Verizon FIOS which I have had for over 2 years. Our city was the first city in the US wired for FIOS. I had the option of getting 5, 15, or 30 Mbps. I selected 15 Mb's. You will not see any difference really between 15,20, or 30Mbp's as there are other factors such as servers etc. that come into play. Try testing it from different locations and you will usually see a significant difference in speed with the high speed connections such as Verizon FIOS.

        Verizon DSL from Harrisburg, PA to Maryland.

        2875 kbs down
        673 kbs up

        2nd Test about 5 to 10 minutes later:
        virtually same results

        Wow looks like FIOS is fabulous. I thought going from dial-up to DSL was amazing but I might have to try the FIOS.

              I just ran the test using 3 different speed test sites. Results came out as
              6311/375
              6551/380
              2510/378

              I don't understand why the last one is so much lower on the download side, but it always is.

                When I tried it earlier, it was from my aircard. Now I am home, my laptop is wireless to the router, and I get 7537/2207

                The DW is hardwired to the router and she gets 9161/2437. We are both on the cable router at the same time which may make some degrading, but that seems low for the hardwired computer.

                          My uplink seems to have improved in the last month or so. Using comcast cable-hardline to router.

                          download: 23269 kb/s
                          upload: 2012 kb/s
                          ping 26ms (twin cities)

                          Curious, I get a better upload speed going thru Chicago (2500 kb/s)
