Using Vista how do I put in www.

Since I got this laptop ewvery time I put in a url I have to put in www. or it will not finfd the site. My other 2 computers that use Vista are not like this one. There I can just type timeshareforums.com and it goes there. with this one I have to put in www.timeshareforums.com in order to go there. What do I have to do to fix this?

I am not sure, BF, but check your internet options, under the advanced tab...do your other computers allow you to search from the address bar, and does the laptop prohibit it? or vice versa? That might be the answer.

Try holding down the Ctrl key when you hit Enter. Your problem sounds like another Vista 'improvement'.

Step 3: Buy ANYTHING other then Vista!

Can you tell I still love mine? The ONLY thing Vista seems to go very good is network! Unlike XP were I could never conect two computers to share files or printers (unlike oh Macintosh 1986 that worked perfect I might add). Vista at long last seems to be able to talk with other computers...

Otherwise, man I hate it more and more and more.... I am going to buy an Apple this year. It is one of my goals for the year to see if I can Run Windows based software as well or better then this Vista driven nightmare.
